Set in a peaceful setting with beautiful views, stunning sunsets and amazing starry night skies, Excellent base within a 40 min drive to Sarlat, Domme, Beynac, rocque de gageac, Rocamadour, the spectacular Dordogne river and only 12 kms to Monpazier. They both look out over the gardens with trees, hammocks and view of the pool area. The double room bathroom has a large corner bath, sink and toilet and the twin bedroom has a shower, toilet and sink. The enclosed hedged, private and secluded pool area, has beautiful views with mature shrubs, sun loungers with comfy cushions, parasols, and also a beautiful oak pavilion to relax inside when you want to escape from the heat of the day!! There are 2 bedrooms, both having high ceilings, open stonework and each with it's own en-suite bathroom. There is a covered terrace area and a separate stone built BBQ under the honeysuckle and rose pergola for alfresco dining. The kitchen has all appliances including oven, fridge, hob, dishwasher, toaster and washing machine.

A full set of bed linen, is provided for each week of your stay. In Le Bugue a fifteen minute drive there are three supermarkets providing more than adequate facilities for a complete shop. The pool is usually operational from Mid May subject to the weather at the time. Pool use is limited to guests under 20 stone ( 127 kilo) being the stepladders maximum safe weight load. We of course show every consideration for our guests privacy. The pool which is large 12mt x 6mt and surrounded by large terraces and two verandahs is only shared with ourselves as there is only the one Gite on the property. The cottage is fully equipped to modern standards with : WiFi, Large Flat screen TV with UK channels, dishwasher, clothes washer, oven, hob, blender, toaster etc etc.

One additional point of interest actually underneath our land are a series of caves which are of exceptional archaeological interest, Google : Grotte de Cussac for complete details. The Abbey in Cadouin has connections with the crusaders who came through this area on the way to the Holy Land. There are three superb restaurants in Cadouin the nearest village, which itself is a medieval gem.
The location is perfect for a restful holiday with a magnificent pool complex and totally rural situation, yet only 15 minutes from excellent supermarkets and the river. A stone built cottage on a sunny hilltop overlooking tranquil wooded valleys.
